Born in Houston, Texas, Mark Andrew Allen is a graphic designer with a specialization in hand lettering. Mark Andrew Allen's sophisticated jabs at consumer culture blend playful sarcasm with vibrant text messages woven into polychromatic backdrops.
Allen's work is a culmination of many years of painting, thinking and experiencing. His urban pop expressionist work is created by sifting through material to find just the right imagery that connects to establish a particular narrative. The art mixes his background of typography, mixed media collage, abstract expressionism and cubism.
